The EverWise Story

I’m Karen Vassar, Founder and Consulting Principal of EverWise. For the past 11 years, I’ve worked closely with families overwhelmed by the realities of caring for aging loved ones—often while balancing full-time jobs and the daily demands of life. This scenario is only becoming more common, with more working adults taking on care responsibilities each year. Yet despite its prevalence, caregiving remains a hidden struggle in many workplaces.

With more than a decade as a home care agency owner and operator, I learned that the compassion, structure, and practical tools that support families at home are just as essential in the workplace—insights that ultimately inspired me to create EverWise.

EverWise helps organizations create environments where employees don’t have to choose between caregiving and career success. We equip teams with clear guidance and resources to navigate eldercare confidently, reducing stress and strengthening performance. I hold an M.S. in Health Promotion Management from Marymount University and a B.A. in Urban Planning from George Mason University.
